9/30/08 – 50 minute team bonding
Posted on October 01 2008
“Dude let’s go to rock climbing!” “Yeah let’s go!”… (20 minutes later) “Damn dude let’s just turn around at Parker Ranch”.
To many this would be a disappointment, and at first, it was to me too, But then I came to realize that even if we didn’t get as far as we had hoped to, we still gave it everything we had. We pushed the uphills, took turns leading, and ran hard all the way. While it may not have been at full speed, we were able to strengthen our team because if any team is going to states, it’s going to be our team. We want it more than anyone else, the thought of crossing the finish line of the state meet fuels us to take another stride. While states is still a long time from now, it’s like the crest of that hill that we can’t seem to get up. We just need to draw a line 20 yards before it and then sprint like crazy to conquer it.
There’s no “I” in team and there’s also no “I” in states. To make it there we’re going to have to work as a team and push each other. We can do it, I know we can. We know we can. It’s there for the taking, now lets go get it.
Lets Go Guys!
