Giving the gift of time

Posted on July 11 2017

Ryan-Moran,-FF-Columbus-Worthington“I started running, like many people, to lose weight. I played football and wrestled, so athletics were a constant part of my life all throughout high school and most of college. However, after graduating college, I stopped all of that, but continued to eat as though I had not. The next thing I knew, I was 100-pounds overweight and concerned for my own health. It was then that I decided to make a change. Myself, my wife, and my future kids deserved better from me. So, I started eating better and running. It wasn’t much, just about a mile each time. But, it was those ‘baby-steps’ that started a whole new direction for my future. Today, I continue to eat better. My family eats better. My kids have taken an interest in health, wellness and even running with dad. Most importantly, I have taken significant strides to maximize the greatest gift I can give my family — time. I love to run and play on the trail.  But, I love time with my family much more. My hope is that they know and will constantly be reminded that my passion for running should never interfere with my commitment to and joy of being a husband and father.” – HOKA fan Ryan Moran
