“To do something great, you have to believe in yourself, and sometimes I lack that confidence. There’s no guarantees that I’ll ever feel as fresh as I did before running across America, and even now, I’m not quite 100% recovered. With that said, I’m optimistic in my body’s healing powers, and I’ll never take it for granted. If I’m having trouble motivating myself to run, I usually take a step back and think about why I’m trying to accomplish something and whether it still makes sense.
