Running Podcasts: Two Interviews With Physical Therapist Jay Dicharry
Posted on June 03 2013
I’m flying out to Portland, Oregon on Tuesday for a footwear insights meeting hosted by Merrell, and one of the reasons I’m excited about it is that I get to hang out again with my friend Jay Dicharry. Jay is a physical therapist who recently made a jump from heading up the gait lab at the University of Virginia to a private PT practice in Bend, Oregon (Rebound Physical Therapy). When it comes to information on form, footwear, and injury management, Jay is one of the first people Iook to for advice.
I recently listened to interviews with Jay on two separate podcasts, and I thought I’d share them here since he is a wealth of knowledge on all things running and his philosophy on form and footwear very closely aligns with my own (he is a recurring “character” in my own book).
Here are the podcasts:
First, Jay did an interview with the folks over at Trail Runner Nation. Jay covers a lot of ground in the interview, and the title “Make running more fun!” is excellent advice! You can listen on-line here, or download the podcast from iTunes.
The second podcast is a slightly shorter interview with Jay conducted by Mark Kennedy of Healthynomics. You can listen on-line here, or download the interview from iTunes.
And if you haven’t read it already, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Jay’s book (see cover above), Anatomy for Runners.
