“I have run 10 trail ultramarathons between 28 and 35 miles. I know I can run farther, but I want to wait until I get older. Last year, when I was 10, I became the youngest finisher ever in the history of the Santa Barbara Nine Trails 35 Mile Endurance Run. It has 11,500 feet of climbing. This year when I ran it, my dad slipped on a wet rock and broke his wrist, so I had to run the last 11 miles by myself. The thing I like most about trail running is that it makes you feel so free. I like running in the mountains because it makes me feel like I can run forever. When I get older, I would like to compete in the UTMB. I always feel very happy and accomplished when I finish a run. I feel like I could eat a whole pizza and a burrito too. I hope more kids will start trail running, so I have more friends to run with.”- HOKA fan Sebastian Salsbury
