Z’s or A’s
Posted on April 09 2010
I haven’t posted anything in over a month, and ironically enough this first post will have very little to do with running, on the exterior at least.
Yesterday I was challenged with a conundrum at 10:30 pm, sleep or AP Gov homework? Now I know you’re all going to think the typical Lynbrook student would stay up till 3 am to get the 10 point assignment done, and I know you’re all think I’m not the typical Lynbrook student because I prefer to sleep and therefor I have no future. But let’s just think about this for a minute, at the end of the day it’s a question of mind vs body. If I do my homework I’m 10 points closer to an A, if I sleep I have a good race on Friday & Saturday.
Actually why am I even writing about this? Take care of your body, if you don’t you’ll find that your last day on earth will be much sooner than you expected and you’ll never get a chance to smell the roses. I’m not saying people shouldn’t study at all, but there must be a balance, and it seems that around here people are always willing to sacrifice their bodies for their grades. Get out there, lace up your running shoes, eat some donuts, and go to sleep – now that’s the life.
